Hello! We’re happy to see you here!

We are currently accepting students of all ability levels and ages. Some of our teachers continue to offer online as well as in-person lessons. Enrollment at Mosaic includes private lessons as well as our monthly Group Classes. (*group class is optional for adult students)

Just as language learning happens slowly at first so does the ability to learn an instrument.

In weekly private lessons students will study classical techniques in order to perform music of any genre with beautiful tone, accurate pitch & a full heart. Classical music is our foundation however, we explore all genres of music.

We also rely upon support materials such as etudes & scales. We take small steps.

All private lessons are customized for students’ needs. Lessons can last 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Your teacher will talk this over with you.

We are an all-inclusive string community and welcome you to join us!

The first step is to either send us an email or schedule a phone chat with Kate.

Tips for you on your string adventure!

Remember it is not the quantity of practice each day, but the quality. Even one-minute of practice counts!

For beginners/children under 10yrs old, parents are required to commit to be on hand during lessons, take notes and to guide your child’s practice at home. Don’t worry, parents need not be a musician or have any musical experience. Parents are taught how to help the child at home. :)

During practice the parent creates a positive learning environment by giving praise for each effort. The length of practice time can vary depending on the child’s attention span, but will gradually increase as the student advances through the repertoire.

Philosophy

We believe that everyone and anyone can learn to play an instrument. This is also the fundamental principle of the Suzuki Method. We endeavor to make learning all styles of music fun, easy and accessible. It is also our job to teach beautiful tone, technique and good practice habits. In the end, we wish to teach artistry. We’re excited to start you or your child on a whole new adventure. As we lovingly say, “Your lives will never be the same!”

We are working to create our own songbook of classical and folk repertoire, complete with historical references, highlighting BIPOC performers and contributors, both deceased and alive, who enrich our cultural heritage.
